PwC - Are CFOs from Mars and CIOs from Venus?
Good cooperation between chief financial officers (CFO) and chief information officers (CIO) is crucial for the success of a companies´ projects and has an impact on earnings. In practice, however, such cooperation often does not work, and leaders of both departments behave as if they were almost from different planets. These results emerged from research conducted by CFO Europe Research Services, a unit of CFO Publishing and part of the Economist Group, together with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

KPMG Global M&A Predictor
KPMG Corporate Finance’s Global M&A Predictor – a forward looking survey of 1,000 leading companies’ estimated net debt to EBITDA ratios and prospective Price Earnings ratios – forecasts that 2009 will see a continued fall in global mergers and acquisitions (M&A) but that deal activity should slowly return late in the year as liquidity improves and attractive value is recognized in certain sectors.

Grafton Candidate Survey - April 2009
During the month of March Grafton Recruitment approached active and passive jobseekers which are registered in our database and are currently seeking for a job or are looking around for potential job opportunities. In total, we had 2 500 individuals that responded to the survey which is already a valid sample of the labour market. The survey shows that people are aware of the global economic situation and it is reflected in their considerations about job opportunities.

Grafton Candidate Survey - August 2009
Grafton Recruitment closely monitors the situation on the labour market and we want to share with you the results of our latest survey conducted among jobseekers. We had almost 2500 respondents. Their feelings, ambitions and motivation are influenced by the current economic climate which still remains in the shallow waters of a small number of job opportunities and increasing unemployment. Despite this fact, there are jobs on the market and Grafton currently offers close to 1500 jobs in the Czech Republic. The competition for one job is fierce though with as many as two to three times as many applicants for one job vacancy.
