Partnership to support foreign direct investment in the Czech Republic. A joint project of the Association for Foreign Investment – AFI and CzechInvest.

Nature of the project

• Partnership is always concluded for one year (April to March of the following year), but the aim is to build a long-term relationship that achieves quality results and creates a comprehensive strategy of partner presentation.
• Partnership is cooperation open to all stable companies on the Czech market interested in supporting foreign direct investment and in taking part in improving the business climate in the CR. Participation in the project is possible on four different levels which differ from each other in intensity of cooperation and in the amount of financial contribution for joint marketing activities.

Project aims

• The main aim of the project is to support the inflow of foreign direct investment to the Czech Republic, mainly by ensuring quality service for foreign investors, and to support the competitiveness of the Czech economy.
• Another aim is to present partners of the project as entities interested in improving the Czech business climate and the development of the investment environment in the Czech Republic and to create a space for communication between foreign investors, state administration and Czech companies that will lead to fulfillment of the project´c main aim.

Project activities

• The project's main activities include a series of formal and informal gatherings with investors, award ceremonies such as Investor of the Year, Industrial Zone of the Year and Supplier of the Year, working breakfasts with cabinet members and other major representatives of Czech state administration, meetings with regional governors, seminars and trade fairs with expert topics and other activities in the form of sporting events, etc.
• Another form of partner promotion are marketing activities in the form presentations on the AFI websites, presentation in the Czech Focus, a magazine of AFI and CzechInvest and other professional press publications.
