Seminar on Investment Incentives

Another seminar on the topic of Investment Incentives took place on November 5, 2003, organised by the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and CzechInvest.
The seminar aimed at presenting new amendments to the relevant laws, changes in the state´s investment incentives system and also with a respect to the relevant EU law.
The seminar was dividend into following topics:
- Amendment to the Investment Incentives Law – presented by Mr. Martin Turnovský (MTI)
- General Programme to Support Strategic Services (SS) and Technology Centers (TC) – by Ms. Edita Potyszová (CzechInvest)
- Relevant EU regulations – by Ms. Monika Smejkalová (CzechInvest)
- Selected analyse of the investment incentives systém – by Mr. Karel Kloc (MTI)
- Changes of the Laws influencing business climate in teh Czech Republic – by Mr. Petr Hájek (CzechInvest)
- Controlling of Investmentincentives and projects from the SS and TC sphere under the MTI – by Mr. Petr Vindeman and Mr. Martin Kavka (MTI)
The MTI stated that the numer of approved investment incentives is expected to be the same as it was last year.
The Ministry and CzechInvest try to place incentives mainly into the troubled and suffering regions as for example Northern Bohemia or Northern Moravia.
