2003/07/25, How to Become One of the First Investors in People Companies in the CR?

CzechInvest organized the opening seminar devoted to the new program to support human resources development in companies: Investors in People – How to Become One of the First Investors in People Organizations in the Czech Republic?

The seminar was held on July 25, 2003 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ministry of Industry and Trade's offices.

The seminar dealt with several topics on the Investors in People standard such as Investors in People in general, the history of the standard, the benefits for Investors in People organizations, the implementation of the standard in the Czech Republic and the opportunity to participate in the pre-pilot or pilot program as assess organization.

Two different opportunities to participate in the pilot program as an organization were introduced. For bigger organizations that are willing to start implementing the standard as soon as possible and that do not mind covering all the costs we offer the partnership of British company International Development Consortium. The whole process of implementation will be managed by British experts. Furthermore these companies will be used as Success Stories for the pilot program.

The second opportunity is designed for small and medium sized companies. They will be offered the partnership and all necessary help and counselling from CzechInvest. Furthermore, we are now negotiating the possibility of co-financing the necessary costs from EU funds. Only 20 small or medium sized companies can participate in the pilot program. The selection process for the companies will be held in September 2003. The pilot program should begin in spring 2004.
