The awards were given in four categories: Cluster of the Year, Technological Development of the Year, Business Incubator of the Year, and Project with the Greatest Innovation Potential. Traditionally, representatives of the private sphere convened with representatives of state institutions. Opportunity was also given to representatives of small and medium enterprises nominated in the individual categories. A rout was held in the premises of the Zoom restaurant at the Prague Congress Center following the announcement of the awards.

In reference to the Enterpreneurial Project of the Year, Martin Slabý, chairman of the Association for Foreign Investment - AFI, said: "Today's awards clearly confirm the current trend we have been following up in the Czech Republic. Strength and success have quite evidently begun to emerge in the SME sector. The AFI is an agglomeration of numerous enterprises that are in the business of consulting, advising, and conducting professional activities in many fields of specialty, where the future relies primarily on the enormous potential of small and medium enterprises."
