"10 Years of CzechInvest"
On October 31, 2002, the eve of the 10-year anniversary of CzechInvest's founding, representatives of the agency celebrated this major milestone with honored guests. The celebration was held at Congress Center Štiřín with about 700 guests in attendance. Czech cabinet members joined representatives of the national government, regional government representatives, ambassadors, representatives of chambers of commerce, associations and funds, representatives of CzechInvest's investment projects, regional representatives, journalists, AFI members and partners and other personalities who have worked together with CzechInvest.
Opening remarks were made by the guests of honor, the ministers of industry & trade who have "ruled" CzechInvest: Vladimír Dlouhý, Karel Kühnl, Miroslav Grégr and current minister Jiří Rusnok. After short speeches by the agency's former and current CEOs, Jan Amos Havelka and Martin Jahn, there was work to be done - the traditional birthday ritual of blowing out the candles, and the christening of CzechInvest's publication on the agency's history and present.
The highlight of the celebration was without a doubt the exposition of products from foreign investors who came to the Czech Republic with the assistance of CzechInvest, and the photo gallery of industrial zones, whose preparation CzechInvest shared in. Proof of the event's high technical standard was the video presentation of the largest investment projects and industrial zones that have been the result of the entire decade of the agency's work.
The interesting program and the gathering of long-term business partners contributed to the good atmosphere of this unique celebration. We would like to thank all our associates, partners and friends for their support and we look forward to the next gathering.
