Recently the firm has rendered legal services in connection with the following transactions:

• Complex legal services to the French construction companies BOUYGUES Travaux Publics SA and DTP Terrassement SA concerning legal matters connected with section No. 4 of the D1 highway in Slovakia, constructed as part of the so-called “first package” of highway projects implemented based on public-private partnership (PPP).
• Consulting services to the successor of the Czech Value Fund and associated companies in a large dispute concerning the protection of its investments in the Czech Investment fund Trend and the Czech company Kotva, the owner of the well-known department store in the centre of Prague (value of the dispute – several million CZK)
• Legal services to Aéroports de Paris, a significant French operator of airports, relating to the restructuring and the subsequent bankruptcy of SkyEurope Airlines in Slovakia. Legal services included consultancy on the security retention of an aircraft operated by SkyEurope Airlines by Aéroports de Paris due to outstanding debts, and related disputes.
• Consultancy with and the representation of Skanska CZ a.s. (a member of the Skanska Group, the world’s fourth largest development and construction company) as the creditor of a receivable worth CZK 480 million due from the French company Orco Property Group S.A., as part of a rescue plan and the related proceedings initiated by Orco Property Group S.A. before French courts. Orco is one of the largest development companies and administrators of assets on Central European real estate markets, and its restructuring and recovery plan have a significant impact on the Czech real estate market.
• Complex legal services to DTEK, one of the largest Ukrainian groups engaged in coal mining and producing and distributing electricity, regarding the funding of its international business activities and international loans in Ukraine (approximate value of €18.5 million)
• Legal services to ArcelorMittal FCE SA, Luxembourg, a member of ArcelorMittal Group, in connection with its representation in bankruptcy proceedings concerning a Slovakian company, mainly collecting its receivables in Slovakia.
• Legal services to Iveco Czech Republic, one of the leading manufactures of public service buses in Europe, on drafting contractual documents, and giving a legal assessment of a transaction connected with the planned supply of buses via a dealer and its funding by a leading Czech bank. The transaction value was approximately €14 million.
• Legal services to Essilor Bulgaria EOOD, a subsidiary of a French manufacturer of products and equipment for optics and the world leader in its field, in corporate and business matters including drafting sample contractual documents for the sale of machinery in Bulgaria.
• Legal services to UniCredit bank, a member of UniCredit Group, one of the largest financial groups in Europe, in connection with funding an export contract concluded between a Czech exporter and a Russian importer.
• Extended consulting services for the Renault automotive group in the Czech Republic and Slovakia in connection with its incorporation in the Czech Republic and Slovakia including numerous subsequent modifications, its representation in various disputes concerning trademarks, unfair competition and relations with its dealers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
• Legal consulting services to the textile company Schoeller Litvínov a.s. on changing from bankruptcy (liquidation as the method of resolving insolvency) to reorganisation (non-liquidation method) including drafting the reorganisation plan and drafting and negotiating the business plan. This was one of the first reorganisation plans approved by the Czech courts under the new insolvency legislation (dispute value in excess of €40 million).
